Summer at the Library – July 7 to August 23

It’s time for another great summer of programs and events. Be sure to check our event calendar for programs and activities happening at your favourite branch.

Back by popular demand, it’s Read for Your Municipality! This challenge is open to all ages. Read a book or magazine, you can even listen to an audiobook anytime between July 7 – August 23. Log the number of pages you read here.

Check in every Monday for an update. The grand prize is bragging rights! Visit a branch to pick up a log sheet or print your own:

• Kids 0-6 years
• Kids 7 and up, Teens, and Adults

Stoney Point Library Temporarily Closed

Tuesday Night Trivia

New Borrowing Rules

We need your library materials returned on time so that more people can enjoy them. We are now blocking cards that have more than 10 overdue items, and billing for the replacement cost of items that are more than three weeks overdue. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to your branch staff.

Ontario Parks Passes are here!

Another season of Ontario Parks Passes has arrived! Place your hold now on one of our free passes you can use at any Ontario Provincial Park. Passes can be checked out for one week at a time. Have a look at these links for more information on: day use at Ontario Parks, location of Ontario Parks, how to book your advance daily vehicle permit online, and placing reservations at your Ontario Park of choice.

Teen Advisory Group

Our teen advisory group comprises a group of people ages 13-19, who are working towards a more teen friendly environment in the Essex Branch. We are always looking to get new members to join our library family. Our next meeting is June 30th, at 6:00 p.m. Click on our events calendar to register.
