A World- Class

Performing Arts Center

in the Heart of Hoover

The Library Theatre is known internationally as a world-class performing arts center. We present music, drama, dance and a variety of eclectic events. We are located on the Lower Level of the Hoover Library. Most of our musical artists are Grammy award winners and our plays are routed National Tours.

Some of our favorite performers over the years include Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky ThunderLos Lobos, Marc Cohn, Jim Brickman, Kathy Mattea, Pam Tillis/Mel Tillis, Black Jacket Symphony, Dailey & Vincent, Nickel Creek, Los Lonely Boys, Lorrie Morgan, Edwin McCain, Molly Ringwald, Phil Vassar, Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors, Blind Boys of Alabama, The Gatlin Brothers, Diane Reeves, Carlene Carter, Emily Saliers of the Indigo Girls, Deana Carter and the list goes on and on. Dailey and Vincent have played on our stage a total of seven times, all with sold out performances and a list of over 300 patrons on the waiting list that we still could not accommodate. Molly Ringwald and Marc Cohn have each performed here twice. Really, it is too hard to pick our favorites!
