Enhanced descriptions from Syndetics:

When Deputy Sam Brooks commits to something, nothing can sway him--not just on the job as liaison between the Mercy Falls sheriff's department and PEAK Rescue, but in his private life. He's the one who stuck around to take care of his mother after his father's accidental death. And he's the one--perhaps the only one--who believes Sierra Rose is the perfect girl for him. Safe, practical, and organized, she's nothing like her hippie, impulsive, bleeding heart sister, Willow.

Willow, however, has been in love with Sam Brooks for as long as she can remember. But she wants her sister to have a happy ending. Besides, Willow has other things to focus on--namely, nabbing the job as youth pastor for her small-town church. Best thing for her to do is to purge Sam from her heart.

Neither can predict the events that will bring them together in a fight for their lives in the forbidding wilderness of Glacier National Park. Stranded, injured, and with the winter weather closing in, Sam and Willow will have to work together to save a crew of terrified teenagers. As they fight to survive, they might just discover a new hope for love.

When Deputy Sam Brooks and impulsive, bleeding heart Willow are thrown together in Glacier National Park, they must work together to save their lives and those of several frightened teenagers.

Publishers Weekly Review

In this follow-up to Wild Montana Skies, Susan May Warren shines the spotlight on two couples in which both partners long to be together but are fighting their feelings due to complicated circumstances. Deputy Sam Brooks works on the Mercy Falls Sheriff's Department and for PEAK Rescue. Cool, calm, and always in control, he is determined to do the rescuing whenever anyone is in trouble-in the mountains or otherwise. He's also on a mission to keep Sierra Rose from ending their tenuous relationship. When he kisses Sierra's younger sister, Willow, by mistake, things get messy in a hurry. Despite Sam and Willow's best efforts to avoid each other, they are put together as leaders on a youth-group trek into the mountains where nothing goes as planned. Sam's brother Pete, also a member of the PEAK Rescue squad, has always been the wild one. His best friend and teammate, EMT Jess Tagg, hopes for much more than friendship, but letting him in too deep would mean revealing her hidden past. Pete cares for her as well, but he is terrified that if he follows his desires it will ruin their personal and working relationships. Warren has crafted a fast-moving, high-stakes romantic adventure set against the backdrop of Glacier National Park, which will leave longtime fans and new readers alike anticipating the next book in the series. Booklist Review

Best-selling Warren's fans have come to expect outdoor adventures, thrills, and romance in her novels, and the second in her Montana Rescue series, following Wild Montana Skies (2016), certainly delivers. Deputy Sam Brooks has spent years getting his life together and as close to perfect as possible, and with Sierra Rose he has the ideal girlfriend, too. However when a hiking trip turns dangerous, Sam sees that he can't be in control all the time. He also realizes that Sierra's sister, Willow, excites his heart more than he thought possible. Free-spirited Willow has carried a torch for Sam for a long time, but as things go from bad to worst on the hike, she blames herself for their situation and, feeling undeserving of his affection, pushes him away. As they are forced to depend on each other, however, Sam and Willow tentatively allow their romance to spark. Rescue Me illustrates that life continues despite our best-laid plans, and when we accept our circumstances, lean on our strengths, and have faith, we can prevail through the most difficult of situations.--Richard, Carolyn Copyright 2017 Booklist
