Film actor Chestnut teams up with fitness trainer Obadike to share "the Cut," a fat-shedding, muscle-building method designed for efficiency. The guide's four parts respectively explain how the Cut works and how to eat, train, and think during it. In part one, Chestnut and Obadike focus on a combination of weight training and cardiovascular exercise for driving metabolism. Part two includes nine diets, adjusted for gender and starting weight, that vary in levels of lean protein, healthy complex carbs, fibrous carbs, and healthy fats. Chestnut and Obadike provide detailed servings and portions charts, food lists, meal plans, and recipes such as roasted garlic spaghetti squash ramen and beef noodle pho.
