Love will prevail.
Spring and Summer, 2024
Jenny Boylan is the author of 18 books, a Trustee of PEN America, and the Anna Quindlen Writer in Residence at Barnard College of Columbia University. In 2022-23, she was a Fellow at the Radcliffe Center for Advanced Study at Harvard University.
MAD HONEY is out in paperback, and the wild adventure of that book is all but done, as least as far as we here at Boylan Industries are concerned.
Next up will be a NEW MEMOIR coming to you in February of 2023. It has the greatest title in the world, although I can’t reveal it yet. This book is a bookend to SHE’S NOT THERE, published 20 years ago this year, and it examines the differences between men and women, as I have lived them, as well as the difference between coming out as trans in the late 90s, as I did, and now. Stay tuned for that; lots more info as we draw near.
I’ve also continued my work with PEN America, the nonprofit dedicated to defending freedom of expression, and freedom of speech, for writers and artists worldwide. Our 2023 Freedom of Expression award went to Narges Mohammadi, who shortly thereafter won this years Nobel Peace Prize.
I am grateful to my family, to my readers, and to everyone who has helped me on my way. We are living in an era of cruelty and injustice, and all we can do is fight back, as best we can. I do believe, deep in my heart, we shall overcome some day.
