ACTOne Play Reading: Ear to Glass, Glass to Ground

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Event Details

The recently discovered corduroy road suggests Uptown Waterloo has many secrets. Using historical writings and audio recordings, all found at Kitchener Public Library, playwright Sunil Kuruvilla has crafted this new story about the red warehouses of Seagram’s Distilleries that long ago towered on Caroline Street and the tunnels below Albert and King where booze was smuggled during prohibition. The workers are gone but their spirits can still be found, in bottles and in this play.
