Building the library you deserve

You’ve asked and the Town of Strathmore and the Strathmore Municipal Library have answered! We’re expanding and we need your help. The Strathmore Municipal Library Board has been saving for this moment and in order to expand the building our $350,000 in savings (as well as an additional $350,000 for the town) is dedicated to the construction costs of the project. But what is a beautiful expanded building without furnishings to bring comfort and functionality into our new space?
Your new library!
The library has a small dedicated budget to help with furnishings, but it is not enough to give you the library that you deserve. We want to build the love of reading in your child by providing them a fun and educational space to learn. With new children’s shelves and fun furniture, you will see your child’s eyes light up with excitement as they walk into the library! Picture the soft light of a fireplace as you sit with your friends, drinking tea or coffee from our beverage station, and talking about your new favourite book! Or imagine a new trendy teen zone, where your teen will have a safe space to relax, visit with friends, or work on homework. Last, picture a large meeting room with a small kitchenette to host your child’s next birthday party or group meeting. With your support, these dreams can become realities and we can make the library a beautiful, viable, and welcoming space for you and your family.

All donations are welcome; however, the library plans to create a library book case donor wall for those who would like to have their family name adorn the walls of the library. Located above the computer section of the library building, this colourful display will allow businesses, families, community groups, and individuals to show their support for the Strathmore Municipal Library.

7.5” book spine - $100.00
9” book spine - $150.00
Flower Pot - $250.00
Open Book - $500.00
Book Cover or Critter - $1000.00
Individuals who donate $50.00 and over will be contacted at a later date to arrange donor wall descriptions.
