Event Details

We have a dream that kids will grow up to be kind, respectful and knowledgeable adults.  Today we will give the kids an opportunity to show us what they have learned from MLK Jr. and his dreams by creating a poster about MLK Jr.  We hope to see how MLK Jr. story has inspired everyone.

MLK Jr. Poster Contest

Each participant is to create a poster about MLK Jr.  with our handouts or completely on your own.  Each poster must answer these questions:

1.       Who was MLK Jr. & what did he do?

2.       How has he made an impact on you?

3.       What is your dream for the world?

The questions may be answered in words or pictures. On the day of the event, the participants must present their posters, discuss their work, and discuss the three questions listed.  There will three age groups 5-7, 8-12 and 13-18.  One winner will be picked from each age group.  The winners will receive a prize and have their poster displayed in the library.
