Book Floats Due Date

Book Floats are due today, April 19, by 4:00! The Book Float Contest is for all ages.
Floats should be decorated on top of a shoe box sized box and be based upon a favorite book.
Floats will be judged by patrons at the library from April 22-April 26. Categories include: Most Colorful, Best Use of Materials, Most Humorous, Best Looking (Prettiest), Most Exciting and Dramatic, Most Detailed, Most Well-Built, and Overall Favorite.
All participants will receive a fun prize and are invited to an Ice Cream Float party on Wednesday, May 1 after school, where winners will be announced! Please call the Hot Sulphur Springs Library for more information.

Woodblock Carving and Printing at RMFS (OGB)

Let's learn printmaking and create with Grace! Woodblock carving and relief printmaking allows you to create an original work of art that can be reproduced over and over again, by hand.  Register at https://rockymountainfolkschool.org/classes/#wood-carve-print. Class will be held at RMFS Building - 315 Pitkin Ave., Grand Lake.

One Grand Book is held annually each Spring. This year's novel is Go As a River. Inspired by true events surrounding the destruction of the town of Iola, CO in the 1960s, Go As a River is a story of deeply held love in the face of hardship and loss, but also of finding courage, resilience, friendship, and home. Read as a community! Celebrate as a community! Grand County Library Foundation, Granby, Kremmling, and Grand Lake Rotary clubs, and Mountain Shire Books are sponsors of this and other One Grand Book events.
