As part of the NC LIVE Regional Workshops, OENC offered sessions on open educational resources and the Open Education North Carolina (OENC) initiative. Registration was free.
Attendees left with an actionable understanding of the OENC initiative, resources available to them for promotion and OER adoption, and readiness to apply for a grant.

NC LIVE's Open Educational Resources 101 Webinar
Librarian & Staff Bootcamps
Bootcamps were offered for librarians that wanted to maximize their open educational resources (OER) advocacy skills. OTN-trained facilitators hosted the train-the-trainer bootcamps for librarians, instructional designers, distance education staff, and any others interested in becoming regional and campus advocates for Open Education North Carolina (OENC).
Participants learned about OER and OENC and discussed issues, such as reducing faculty barriers to entry and developing campus OER strategy, with peers from across the state. Attendees left the full-day workshops ready to host local OER sessions and workshops with a strong knowledge of OER in general and OENC specifically.
There are no bootcamps currently scheduled.
